Building positive relationships with the kinder families is so rewarding for me and vital in supporting everyone's sense of belonging.

I have been teaching kinder for 25 years and am so thrilled to join Heatherdale Preschool in 2020, teaching the Bilbies, 4 year olds. My experience spans across sessional kinder and long day care, along with teaching young children in Japan. I hold a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) from Melbourne Uni.

I absolutely love teaching kinder children and being a part of their learning journey. I am very focused on providing an interest-based program and allowing the children to guide the direction of their learning. I am passionate about supporting children to attempt new things and build confidence in their abilities. I gain so much enjoyment from spending time playing with the children and engaging in lots of fun and laughter.

Families are a very important part of the kinder environment and I enjoy getting to know the whole family. Building positive relationships with the kinder families is so rewarding for me and vital in supporting everyone's sense of belonging.

I have three teenage children, including twins, who attend school locally. We are engaged with local footy clubs as well as scouting. As a family we love camping and travelling, catching up with friends and relatives, and watching movies.
